Coxsbarta Desk : Celebrated actress Tisha has dared to become proficient in the local dialect of Chittagong for the necessity of her upcoming film ‘Halda’. Tisha’s role in this much-anticipated film resides in a poor village of Chittagong district and hence she needs to have a strong ‘Chatgaiyya’ dialect. She will play the part of Hashu, whose house is located on the Halda riverbanks. As the story evolves, Hashu gets married to a powerful man from a different district. For Tisha, this is a fresh experience. The daunting actress does not perceive this challenge as a hassle although, as an actor has to grasp many skills and go some extra miles to be convincing in their roles. She said, “This is not a big deal, as an actor it’s my job to face challanges.” Tisha said she is giving it her best to master the dialect. Shakhawat Shiblee, the dialect consultant for the film, has taken the job of Tisha’s instructor. Tisha is training for her character’s dialogues with him. “It was a difficult dialect to become competent in. However, I started to see the beauty of the language soon and also enjoy how it is transforming me for my role.” Tisha said that she and her co-stars banter each other in Chittagong’s local dialect off the sets. The filming went underway at the end of September. Scripted by Azad Babul and distributed by Nokhotro Films, the venture will feature a bunch of star actors- Zahid Hasan, Mosharrof Karim and Nusrat Imroj Tisha in the lead roles. Besides the celebrity trio, the film has also cast the talented Runa Khan, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Dilara Zaman, Shahed Ali among others. The film has been produced by ‘Amra Kojon’ and the screenplay was done by none other than the multifaceted director himself, Tauquir Ahmed. His latest directorial venture “Oggyatonama” has been acclaimed worldwide and hit the world-famous Cannes Film Festival 2016. The Halda River is the one and the only natural carp breeding ground in Bangladesh from where fertilized carp fish's eggs are collected by local fisherman and egg collectors during April to June almost every year for time immemorial. According to the sources of the movie insiders,the film will depict the how the river is being endengered due to pollution, grabbing, climate change and global warming. Halda movie describes the protection of the river & the life of people around it.
